About the Event
UF’s Current Challenges in Primary Care was created to meet the needs of busy clinicians for the most authoritative and current information on health& wellness promotion, and disease prevention & management. The conference is programmed to afford maximal opportunity for attendees to interact with our faculty. Expert clinicians discuss the latest diagnostic and therapeutic developments in the management of behavioral health, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, preventive care, common musculoskeletal problems, oncology, preoperative assessment, sports medicine, thyroid disorders, and women’s health. Our faculty discuss “real world” patient cases and current controversies within each topic area. Our highly experienced faculty are carefully selected for excellence in teaching.
This course is designed for Primary Care Physicians, Internal Medicine Physicians, Family Medicine Physicians, General Internists, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Hospitalists.
As a result of participation in this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify evidence-based diagnostic and treatment modalities for a variety of medical disorders of importance to generalist clinicians.
- Determine which patients are most likely to benefit from subspecialty consultation to provide optimal care guidelines.
- Employ findings from recent research findings to patient care.
